TOP WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE SOUTH

Love in The New Normal : An Open Letter To Soon-To-Weds

If your wedding plans have been postponed due the pandemic, this is for you.

Once the lockdown was announced there was a lot of uncertainty as to when a lot of wedding plans would push through. We felt it, not just in the postponements but in the sudden change of the wedding landscape.

The limited number of people allowed, social distancing and so. As wedding photographers, we slowly felt a season of big glamorous weddings coming to cease.

But with it, a new kind wedding is slowly emerging.

The intimate, simple, back to the basics heartfelt ones.

I’d like to invite you to take a look at a recent wedding we shot. How the flow went to give you a little insight on how your wedding could look like in the new normal

Jem & Jed are our first couple to shoot in the pandemic. They got married in the Agriculture building of Pagsanjan Laguna.

Before the pandemic, we used to cover weddings starting from the preparation stage. Today, we arrived just before the ceremony started.

We still took some before portraits.

The Mayor wed them. As with the new guidelines on wedding ceremonies only 10 people are allowed.

There were still beautiful moments to capture like the honoring of parents and a touching capture of the mother of the bride.

When we started taking group photos, we thought – hey wait a minute, you wouldn’t want to remember your weddings with face masks on would you?

So we adjusted.

And quick shot at the door before heading off to the reception.

You see all of these happened really quickly. We don’t want to stress you out with poses. And as we promise every client of ours is that we get great photos so you can go on to enjoying your big day.

The reception was held by the lake in a place called Baliraya. It had the Bali feels, that you’ll see in the next photos.

The reception was just right for 30 guests. And even if it was intimate, it was styled so pretty.

As usual, we delighted in the details.

It still had all the workings of the traditional wedding reception moves like cake cutting and wine toast.

Other than that, it was basically just enjoying the meal and the company of their closest family and friends. Authenticity at its best.

One hour ceremony

An hour going to the reception.

Thirty minutes for portraits.

An hour for eating.

We wrapped everything up in approximately four hours only.

But we still got pretty photos that both Jem & Jed will get to cherish about this day.

And with that, we were all happy and grateful to have captured love in this season.

To all the soon-to-weds out there, take heart! You can still pull off a beautiful intimate wedding and have photos you can cherish forever.

Send us a message for our intimate wedding rates. We look forward to capturing you.
